Acapela is neither the cheepest, nor the fastest speaking, nor the most stable, nor the best articulated synthesizer of the many options available on google play. I like the inflection and pronounciation that acapela voices offer, and I have a few that I’ve purchased over the years for various needs and to add variety to my android experience. Voices are purely a matter of personal preference. The mere roomer that acapela would one day become available as a system wide tts engine for android was a deciding factor in my decision to make android work for me as a platform.
